The Rab Downpour Plus 2.0 is the successor to the popular Rab Downpour Plus, and its basic design is identical to that of its predecessor. It is a reliable and versatile waterproof jacket that can be worn in the city, on weekend trips, or during multi-day hikes at higher altitudes.

An ideal piece for classic hiking that doesn’t rely on extremely lightweight or extreme durability. Simply a versatile and reliable jacket at an affordable price. Along with the design, the material used to make the Rab Downpour Plus 2.0 remains the same. This is the proven 2.5-layer Pertex Shield® membrane with a 20,000 mm water column, a breathability rating of 20,000 g/m² per 24 hours, and taped seams.

For the 2021 season, however, the outer fabric is made from recycled 40D polyamide, making the Rab Downpour Plus 2.0 one of the products whose production focuses on fully embracing the philosophy of sustainable development. Compared to the Downpour Plus, the Downpour Plus 2.0 retains all the essential features of its design. These include two large side pockets positioned high enough to be used even with a hip belt, an adjustable hood with a brim compatible for use with a helmet, two-way drawcords at the hem, Velcro-adjustable sleeve cuffs, and underarm ventilation to increase the jacket’s breathability. It’s worth noting that all zippers are water-resistant YKK Aquaguard zippers.

Compared to the previous model, the Rab Downpour Plus 2.0 has undergone minor changes to the hood adjustment. The adjustment at the crown remains the same, but the neck adjustment has changed, with the adjustment tabs now hidden inside the jacket. Another change is the addition of fleece strips at the end of the zipper and on the inside of the hood to protect the chin and neck. The final change is the extension of the Velcro strap on the loop for securing the rolled-up hood. You’ll especially appreciate this loop when you’re not using the hood but don’t want it flapping freely in the wind.
