We constantly strive to keep up with trends in ultralight gear and expand our product range. That’s why you’ll also find the brand Rab. Rab was born out of a passion for mountaineering and the circumstances its founder, Rab Carrington, faced in Argentina in the 1970s, when his expedition gear for a trip to Patagonia was stranded due to a strike at the docks in Liverpool. He later applied the valuable experience gained during six months in Buenos Aires and subsequent expeditions to Jannu, Kangtegu, Nuptse, and Makalu in the attic of his home in Sheffield: in 1981, he sewed the first sleeping bag there that bore his name. This journey toward top-quality mountain gear continues, and we are happy to be a part of it.
