Material and Technology

The Rab Downpour Mountain Jacket is made from 2.5-layer Pertex® Shield fabric with a 20,000 mm water column and a breathability rating of 20,000 g/m²/24h. This fabric is known for its reliability and resistance to inclement weather. All seams are, of course, taped. The material’s breathability ensures comfort even during active movement.  The jacket features a DWR finish free of fluorocarbon.

Features and Details

The jacket features three external pockets with YKK® AquaGuard® zippers and one internal pocket. The pockets are positioned so they are easily accessible even with a backpack and hip belt. The hood is helmet-compatible but performs just as well when used without a helmet. It has an adjustable hem and a reinforced brim. The sleeve cuffs are adjustable with Velcro. Underarm vents are included to enhance ventilation. All zippers are water-resistant YKK® AquaGuard®.
