The Rab Filament Neck Tube is a bit different from the neck warmers we’re used to. It’s made from textured fleece, which provides excellent warmth while effectively wicking sweat away from the skin. Rab kicked off 2020 in a big way, setting a goal to gradually advance sustainability and minimize our footprint as much as possible. However, this isn’t just some superficial “marketing” plan; Rab takes great care to evaluate recycling methods to ensure that it all makes sense.

The base of the neck warmer is made of recycled Thermic™ fleece, which provides proper insulation. Rab solved the issue of breathability and sweat wicking by using a structure with horizontal stripes on the inside, alternating between areas with more and less insulation. The material thus insulates through the stripes with more fleece and wicks sweat away through the stripes with less. After the first few uses, it seems to us that this system wicks sweat better than the previous grid structures on the Power Grid hoodie and dries faster as well.

This neck tube will certainly come in handy for all outdoor activities in colder conditions. Like almost all neck tubes, this one is tall enough to be quickly converted into a hat or headband.
