Jetboil Flash
Code: VA-JB-FLCBN-EU-2025Product detailed description
Jetboil is one of the most efficient cooking systems on the market. At the heart of the system is the FluxRing® heat exchanger, which concentrates heat within the exchanger to reduce cooking time and increase efficiency by up to 80%. By comparison, standard gas stoves have an efficiency of 30–40%. Thanks to this, you’ll use far less gas, so you won’t have to constantly buy new cartridges! Everything you need comes in a single package.
The core component is a 1-liter cooking pot with a FluxRing® heat exchanger. It comes with a neoprene insulated sleeve featuring a handle to prevent burns. The gel temperature indicator is also an interesting feature. Some might think it’s unnecessary, but it’s very easy to get used to. Just put the water on to boil, and in the meantime, you can prepare your meal, set up your tent, change clothes, etc. Then all you have to do is glance at the indicator without having to constantly peek into the pot to see what’s going on inside. The pot has a handy silicone lid with a spout and holes for straining. It also has an opening for a coffee filter, which can be purchased separately. You’ll then have a great option for making filtered coffee on the go!
The most essential part of the brewing system is the burner with piezo ignition and flame control. Just one click of the integrated igniter and you’ll have hot water in 120 seconds. Simply place the container on the burner and twist it to lock it in place so it doesn’t fall over. The entire brewing system is quite tall, so the package includes a plastic, foldable tripod as standard to make the whole system more stable and prevent it from tipping over.

For 2025, the Flash burner has undergone a major redesign. So what’s new? First and foremost, the output has been reduced, so cooking takes a little longer, but you can boil more water with a single cartridge. The handle has been completely redesigned so that the entire unit has a sturdier construction and is significantly more comfortable to hold and use. Also new is a rotary valve with a precise position indicator, which also functions as a piezo button.
Compactness is, of course, also key, so the entire system is designed to fit inside the container. It can hold a small 100-gram cartridge, the burner, and the plastic stabilizing tripod. You get a complete cooking system that measures just 108 mm x 185 mm when folded. All you need to do is snap the plastic cover onto the container’s heat exchanger, which also serves as both a mug and a measuring cup.
Cooking in practice
The manufacturer states that it takes an average of 2 minutes to bring 0.5 liters of water to a boil (when using Jetboil cartridges). Of course, in outdoor conditions, this time will be longer. On average, 6 grams of gas are consumed to boil 0.5 liters. So, a 100-gram cartridge can boil 10 liters of water!
