The OMM Chest Pod is another great product from the legendary British brand OMM.

If you’re constantly figuring out how and where to carry the items you need to have on hand throughout the day, the Chest Pod can easily solve this problem for you.

The bag is made from durable yet very lightweight 210T ripstop nylon with a water-resistant finish. The back panel is made of 3D mesh for better moisture wicking. This back panel features a simple, open compartment that’s ideal for storing a map so you always have it at hand.

The chest pack has one main zippered compartment, which is further divided into two smaller mesh pockets for better organization. You’ll also appreciate the small carabiner for attaching keys. With a 4-liter capacity, the pouch easily fits a variety of small items such as a phone, compact camera, snack, energy bars, compass, small bottle, and other essentials you want to keep close at hand.

Attaching to a backpack

The solution for attaching the pouch to a backpack is particularly ingenious. This is done using two top carabiners, which you clip onto the loops on your backpack’s shoulder straps (you’ll need to check if your backpack has these).  A line-lock is threaded through the straps with these carabiners, allowing you to easily adjust how high you want to wear the chest pouch.

You then attach the bottom section using two hooks on elastic cords. This system is also adjustable, and you can easily pull everything tight against your body so the case doesn’t bounce around uncomfortably.

On the outside, there are 4 additional loops on the case for attaching anything else.

The OMM Chest Pod is the ideal choice when paired with the  OMM Classic 32 backpack, but it can essentially be attached to any backpack.
