The Rab Incline AS belted pants are another piece from Rab made from their time-tested Matrix fabric (this time with a weight of 207 g/m²), which you may recognize from, for example, the legendary Borealis.

This is the all-season (AS) version of the Rab Incline model.

The pants are designed for hiking and trekking, as well as for all outdoor activities. They offer ample storage capacity in the form of two classic hand pockets, one thigh pocket, and one back pocket. All pockets are equipped with YKK zippers for better security of stored items, which we especially appreciated in busy tourist areas. The long, step-cut gusset, combined with stretch fabric and an anatomically precise knee cut, allows for the maximum possible range of motion.

The Incline Pants won’t let you down even if you decide to head out on a via ferrata or climbing route during a family vacation. The Matrix softshell easily handles ventilation during physically demanding activities. Plus, it features a water-repellent DWR finish (fluorocarbon-free) that protects against light rain or persistent drizzle. During the hot months, however, we would still prefer the lighter Rab Incline Light.

Even when wet, the pants are so breathable that you’ll be dry again in no time after the rain.  The pants feature a sturdy, ergonomically shaped waistband with loops and come with a removable 2.5 cm wide belt. Low bulk, light weight, breathability, quick-drying properties, and a water-repellent finish are the main strengths of these versatile pants, which are primarily designed for hiking and trekking, but we wouldn’t hesitate to use them for more demanding mountain adventures.
