The Rab Talus Trail Light men's shorts are a lightweight version of the Talus Trail model. Together with them, these are the most technical shorts in the Talus from the trail running collection Skyline in our lineup.

The lightweight design comes from the overall reduction in the shorts’ size and, most importantly, the absence of leg pockets, making this model suitable even for runners who don’t like leg pockets on their running shorts. This piece is designed primarily for long-distance running in the mountains. For a run around the block, we would rather recommend models Talus Ultra or Talus Active.

These are technical running shorts made from the proven Matrix™ Aero fabric (92 g/m²), which is perfect for aerobic activities in the mountains. It is four-way stretch, breathable, and quick-drying. They feature a water-repellent DWR finish (Rab now has all DWR finishes fluorocarbon-free) and an anti-odor treatment.

The inner, form-fitting liner is made of Flexile 100, which is extremely absorbent and excellently wicks moisture away from the body, keeping us dry even during maximum exertion.  For the Rabu u Talus Trail, they chose a deep, stretchy waistband for maximum comfort and seam-free hems, thereby eliminating the risk of chafing on long trails.

Overall, the shorts are designed primarily for longer outings, as evidenced by their large storage capacity. They feature several tactical pockets for storing essentials—gels, snacks, a map, and a phone. The waistband features one large open mesh pocket on the front and one zippered pocket on the back. These shorts are best suited for trail running enthusiasts, mountain marathon runners, and ultratrail participants.
