The Rab Sonic Hoody 2.0 men's hoodie rounds out the popular Sonic series in our lineup. This series is particularly popular among the running community, appealing to both recreational runners and elite trail racers. However, it also serves as an excellent base layer for hikers, climbers, cyclists, and simply for outdoor enthusiasts in general.

Rab Sonic Hoody 2.0

It’s something between a hoodie and a T-shirt—or rather, a hooded T-shirt. According to the folks at Rab, it’s exactly that middle ground where a T-shirt isn’t enough, but a hoodie is too much—and we can confirm that. The new Sonic is made from the premium material Dryflo™ Air. It stands out primarily for its breathability, stretch, and almost magical quick-drying finish. To our delight, Dryflo™ Air is now featured throughout the entire Sonic series.

Thanks to these features, the Sonic Hoody ensures you stay dry and comfortable even during extreme activities. 

Anti-odor treatment is now almost standard for synthetic base layers. The Rab Sonic Hoody is thus capable of handling multi-day adventures without affecting those around you :)

Micro seams and other features

All seams are thin, flexible, and precisely follow the body’s movements. During long outings, they minimize the risk of chafing, and combined with the stretchy Dryflo™ Air fabric and underarm gussets, the hoodie allows for maximum range of motion. The thumb loop is a welcome feature, especially when layering, and the hood features a wrap-style design.

The Rab Sonic Hoody 2.0 is a lightweight, technical hoodie designed for aerobically demanding activities with key strengths in breathability and excellent quick-drying properties.

The Nalehko team strongly recommends pairing it with the Rab Sonic Boxers, because “When you’re comfortable down below, your performance goes up.”

For warmer conditions or more hardy runners, the lightweight Rab Sonic Ultra Tee, which is a hoodless, short-sleeved version.
