The Pinguin Surpass Steel is one of the lightest gas stoves on the market. It stands out primarily for its very compact size, high-quality craftsmanship, and, compared to its sibling Atom Titan, it also has a wider burner.

Versatility

Although we at the Nalehko team have grown very fond of cooking with liquid alcohol, there are times when a gas stove makes more sense. Especially in colder conditions, liquid alcohol can be more of a hassle, and that’s exactly when the Pinguin Surpass Steel comes into its own. But thanks to its performance, low weight, and compatibility with titanium cookware it can easily become your primary stove all year round.

Construction

As the name suggests, the stove is mostly made of stainless steel. Even so, it weighs a mere 62 grams!

Use with titanium

The stove’s legs have a maximum diameter of 110 mm (minimum 50 mm), which easily provides stability for the vast majority of pots. Thanks to the wider burner and the ability to finely adjust the flame intensity, the stove is also suitable for use with thin-walled titanium mess tins. However, you must always have water in the pot before placing it over the fire!
