The Nalehko Alpha Pocket Hoody 120 women's sweatshirt is synonymous with perfection. You'll be hard-pressed to find an active insulation on the market that's more breathable, lighter, and more packable than Polartec® Alpha.

Miraculous Properties

Originally, Polartec® Alpha was originally developed for the uniforms of U.S. special forces, who required a highly breathable yet very warm material that would resist moisture during both static and dynamic activities. The technology used thus allows the material to offer excellent thermal adaptability in changing conditions and during various phases of physical activity. Most manufacturers hide Polartec® Alpha under a lining, but we’ve made the entire hoodie solely from Polartec Alpha (Direct version), because it’s incredibly comfortable against the skin and handles moisture wicking far better than a lining. All available data speaks for itself.

Polartec Alpha is twice as breathable, one-third more packable, and dries three times faster than most standard fleeces on the market.

A second skin

At NALEHKO, we fell in love with this amazing material several years ago, which ultimately led us to create our own collection of jackets and hoodies made from it. Last year, we launched our hybrid jacket, the Nalehko Alpha Aspiring, which quickly gained a large following of enthusiastic customers. The next logical step is a sweatshirt, which works great as a base layer or mid-layer when paired with a T-shirt. Worn directly against the skin, it feels literally like a second skin. The fabric is so comfortable that once you put on the Alpha, you won’t want to take it off.

We were the first to create a hoodie with a fabric weight of 60 g/m², called the Alpha Hoody 60. Then, based on your requests, we expanded the collection to include a version with double the fabric weight, resulting in the Alpha Hoody 120! At this weight, this hoodie is designed more for cooler conditions—namely fall, winter, and early spring. However, thanks to its excellent features, it can also be worn in the mountains during the summer, for example, as a replacement for a lightweight down jacket. And now the Alpha 120 is also available with a large pocket and a drawstring waist.

Minimalism First

As is our custom, we’ve focused our attention on a simple, clean design. The Alpha Pocket Hoody 120 is a symbol of minimalism. It features a single, simple pocket on the front and a subtle drawstring on the side. The hoodie is easy to pull over your head, and you’ll instantly feel cozy and comfortable. When it gets a little chilly, simply pull the simple hood over your head—the elastic band ensures a perfect fit. The bottom hem features a drawcord on the side, and the cut is designed to restrict movement as little as possible. Always refer to the included size chart when selecting the right size.

We also offer a men’s version without a pocket Nalehko Alpha Hoody 120.

Please note that this is an extremely lightweight material and must therefore be handled with care—it will then last a long time.

Before the first wash, Alpha may shed loose fibers, which has no effect on its performance and will stop after washing.
