This is the new ultimate series of down jackets/vests, designed for an uncompromising balance of weight and thermal insulation. Intended for mountaineers and alpinists who like to move fast and light. Every single element—all zippers, adjustment systems, and accessories—has been designed to be lightweight and compact, while ensuring the jackets maintain excellent thermal insulation properties. Rab Mythic Alpine

It is the golden mean of this series. Filled with 130 grams (size S) of top-quality goose down with a 900FP fill power and a water-repellent treatment from Nikwax. Both the outer and inner materials are time-tested, extremely lightweight yet durable and windproof 10D Pertex® Quantum ripstop (28 g/m²). The outer layer, of course, features a water-repellent DWR finish, so you can weather a light shower or persistent drizzle without compromising the down’s thermal insulation properties. In addition, Rab has treated the down with a hydrophobic finish from Nikwax, which ensures that the down retains its loft much longer and does not lose its insulating properties as quickly when wet. Both of these treatments are, as is customary for  the climate-neutral company Rab ,  without fluorocarbons. The extreme lightness of the outer material allows the down to "fluff up" to its maximum and fully utilize the high insulating properties of 900FP down.

Vest Construction

The Rab Mythic vest features a classic quilted chamber construction. The central YKK® zipper is finished with a fleece lining to protect the chin and is one-way. The two large hand pockets also feature YKK zippers, but to save weight, they are not lined with down. The bottom hem of the vest can be easily adjusted on both sides and is treated with a non-slip finish.
