Full-zip version of waterproof pants Rab Downpour ECO Pants. Rab's commitment to the environment very seriously and has already introduced a whole range of products made from recycled materials this year, thanks to which it is succeeding in fulfilling its commitment to becoming a climate-neutral company.

The Rab Downpour Eco Full-Zip pants are based on the tried-and-true Downpour model, with which we’ve flown a good few thousand kilometers across continents, and just like us, hundreds of our customers are satisfied with them. Essentially, there have been no major changes to this new model. The biggest change is the use of the new Pertex Shield Revolve, which is made entirely from 100% recycled polyester. This has resulted in the first mono-polymer waterproof pants in Rabu’s lineup. The use of 100% polyester also paves the way for the pants to be recycled again at the end of their life without the need for sorting.

The new Pertex Revolve is incredibly soft—so much so that we almost can’t believe these are actually waterproof pants and not just sweatpants for home. The truth is, however, that this material boasts a water column of 20,000 mm and breathability of 20,000 g/m²/24h, allowing it to easily compete with pants in higher price categories. Another major plus for the environment is the DWR treatment, which does not use fluorinated hydrocarbons.

Technically, they are designed as simple, slip-on rain pants. So don’t look for pockets on them. They feature an elastic waistband with a drawcord and, most importantly, YKK zippers that extend all the way to the knees. This allows you to slip the pants on in a minute without having to take off your shoes. There is an integrated drawcord on the inside of the legs, which is cleverly secured so that excess elastic doesn’t flap around.

Pre-shaped knees are also a given for even greater comfort. Although the Downpour Eco pants aren’t an extremely lightweight piece, they offer the perfect balance of durability, weight, and, above all, price.
