The Rab Ocular 3/4 Tights are designed primarily for ski mountaineering, ski touring, and backcountry expeditions. They are also ideal for classic skiers, high-altitude hiking enthusiasts, and demanding winter hikers. The functional combination of materials is effectively distributed according to the expected physiological load, providing excellent moisture wicking.

The heavier and warmer Thermic™ fabric with a brushed inner surface is placed in the "middle" of the legs (thighs, knees, part of the calves) on both the front and back, ensuring thermal comfort. Lighter, Recycled and highly breathable Thermic™ G with an internal "mesh" structure provides thermoregulation. That is why it is strategically placed on the sides, crotch gusset, back/lower calf, and upper waist.

This combination of materials  keeps your legs dry even during demanding winter aerobic activities, for which the pants are designed.  The 3/4 length works perfectly for me when wearing ski boots, as they fit seamlessly over high ski socks or ski boot gaiters. At the point where they meet, I really appreciate the double-layered hem for better durability. The pants feature a comfortable, elastic waistband with a drawcord.
