Making our own products was a bit of a leap into the unknown for us. But nothing ventured, nothing gained...

Behind this tri-ko/t-shirt lies our experience from hundreds of nights spent outdoors and tens of thousands of kilometers traveled around the world.

And why TRI-KO? Because TRI-KO consists of 3 (tři in Czech) components: merino wool, polyester, and a Polygiene treatment.

We’ve poured our years of experience into selecting the ideal material:

Here, we’ve opted for a blend of merino wool and synthetics in a 55% wool and 45% polyester ratio. Thanks to the fine merino wool (fiber diameter 22.5 µm), the shirt feels comfortable against the skin and, most importantly, retains its thermal insulation properties even when wet and naturally suppresses odor. Polyester, on the other hand, ensures sufficient fabric strength despite the low weight and, most importantly, dries quickly!

Unlike most functional clothing manufacturers, who ignore this important treatment, we had the shirts treated with Polygiene StayFresh, a silver-based treatment that suppresses odor.

From the very beginning of development, we put the T-shirts through long-term testing during all our activities (running, cycling, cross-country skiing, climbing, hiking with a backpack, and everyday wear) to be 100% certain that this is exactly the product we want to offer our customers.

We quickly confirmed that the chosen material was the right choice. The T-shirt feels very comfortable against the skin, and at first touch, it definitely feels closer to a wool T-shirt than to synthetics. The Polygiene treatment does a great job of suppressing odors, so even after several repeated uses—such as during running—the T-shirt still feels wearable. This helps reduce the number of wash cycles.

It should be noted that for some people with extra-sensitive skin, the shirt may initially feel a bit scratchy. However, in most cases, this sensation disappears after a while—ideally after the first wash...

Thanks to its unique properties, a merino T-shirt is a must-have in the wardrobe of any active person.

The fabric for the T-shirt is produced by the Italian company Pontetorto, which has a nearly 70-year tradition and is currently one of the most advanced and eco-friendly knitwear manufacturers in Europe. The entire T-shirt was designed at Nalehko and manufactured in the Czech Republic, because we wanted the production process to be a purely Czech affair :-)
