The Pinguin Atom Titan is one of the lightest gas stoves on the market. It stands out primarily for its very compact size and high-quality craftsmanship.

Versatility

Although we at the Nalehko team have grown very fond of cooking with liquid alcohol, there are times when a gas stove makes more sense. Especially in colder conditions, liquid alcohol can be more of a hassle, and that’s exactly when the Pinguin Atom Titan comes into play. But thanks to its performance, low weight, and compatibility with titanium cookware, it can easily become your primary stove year-round.

Construction

Although the stove has "Titan" in its name, it is not made entirely of titanium. The stove's base is made of duralumin. The center, burner, and folding "legs" are made of titanium. Even so, the total weight comes in at an impressive 45 grams!

Use with titanium

The stove’s legs have a maximum diameter of 86 mm (minimum 40 mm), which easily provides stability for the vast majority of pots. Thanks to the ability to finely adjust the flame intensity, the stove is also suitable for use with thin-walled titanium mess tins. However, you must always have water in the pot before placing it over the flame!

Our test

In our quick editorial test, we tried to boil 300 ml of water at a temperature of approx. 20°C (without using a windscreen).  In summer temperatures, we reached a boil in a mere 3 minutes! Of course, in colder and windier weather, the times will be significantly different, and you’ll definitely want to use a windscreen.

Conclusion

The Pinguin Atom Titan will be a great, versatile companion for the vast majority of outdoor activities where you want to cook quickly while still carrying a lightweight cooking system.
