The all-new generation of Apidura Expedition bags represents a major evolution in both design and mounting. These bags are 100% waterproof, extremely durable, and feature a clean, functional design without unnecessary hardware.
What does the new generation offer?
- A redesigned fastening system that eliminates bag sway.
- Side pockets: Newly added external pockets on the sides of the bag for storing bottles or clothing.
- New SoftVent valve: a flexible air valve without hard plastic parts that makes compression easier and adapts perfectly to the load.

Top-of-the-line bike bag for bikepacking
The Apidura Expedition Saddle Pack is designed to store clothing and other gear that you need to reliably protect from the elements. The roll-top closure system, secured with sturdy buckles, allows you to cinch the bag tightly and adjust its volume to fit your current load.
The external side pockets are a huge step forward. They’re easily accessible and designed primarily for storing water bottles. But they’re also perfect for small items you want to keep close at hand without having to unpack the entire bag—whether it’s energy bars, a windbreaker, or gloves.
The three-layer Expedition Grade Fabric laminate, developed specifically for Apidura (completely PFA- and PFC-free), ensures 100% protection against water and mud splashes from the rear wheel. The seams are high-frequency welded, so the contents stay dry even during an all-day downpour. Maximum compression is ensured by the new flexible SoftVent valve, which reliably releases excess air from the bag when packing and rolling it up.
Stable Mounting
The fastening system has also undergone a significant improvement. The key change is a silicone “rail” that rests against the seatpost. This radically reduces the Saddle Pack’s side-to-side sway. Combined with traditional Hypalon straps routed over the saddle rails and a sturdier shell inside the bag, this creates an incredibly rigid structure that holds the bag securely in place.
Similar to the new Handlebar Pack, the Saddle Pack also features an integrated 3-prong mount for a light or radar. Reflective graphics are a given, as is customary with Apidura.
