We have had consistently positive experiences with Fizan Compact poles, and they also boast the title of being the lightest three-section aluminum trekking poles (the Compact 3). In terms of value for money, we haven’t found a serious competitor. The fact that these poles have been used on demanding expeditions, including K2 and Everest, confirms that they are a good choice.

The Compact Pro model features an extended grip, making the poles suitable for trail running as well as regular hiking, where you won’t want to adjust the length every time you’re going up or down. This way, you can simply grip the pole where you need it.

We have many years of experience with Fizan poles. The entire Nalehko team has already covered thousands of kilometers with them (Petr, Olí - CDT, GR20, JMT, AT... Vašek - around Czechoslovakia, Via Dinarica... Míra - Israel National Trail) and we are extremely satisfied with them. So far, they are the only poles that have never twisted when we tried to tighten or loosen them. We always carry them without straps—when you’re walking fast and the tip gets stuck somewhere, you let go of the pole and nothing happens. With a strap, you can’t stop in time and you’ll bend or break the pole, no matter how sturdy it is.

A significant advantage is the availability of replacement parts. We can replace the lower and middle sections of the pole upon request, even through Nalehko. The package includes rubber protective caps for the pole tips and 50 mm baskets. The tip caps are designed to protect the poles during transport. If you want to use the caps while walking, we recommend ordering the Race version. Larger-sized baskets are also available for purchase separately. Since 2019, the straps have been neoprene-free, a design that proved successful the previous year on the Trail Essential trail running poles. The tip around the spike has also been significantly reinforced.

Always wipe the poles dry after folding them and clean them of dust and dirt. This prevents internal oxidation and the poles from getting stuck. 

The weight of the pole with the strap is 175 g.

A shorter alternative, measuring just 49 cm when folded, is the Fizan Compact 4. Alternatively, there is the new ultra-short Fizan UltraX.
