The G Dry series takes Patizon sleeping bags to the next level. Inside the sleeping bag, the G Dry retains everything from the popular and time-tested G series. Top-quality goose down with a fill power of 850 cuin (90/10), Z-chambers for even distribution of the fill, a comfortable anatomical cut, an excellent hood, and low weight. Patizon G Dry differs in its use of an outer membrane fabric, which gives the sleeping bag extra protection against the elements. The lightweight 2.5-layer PU membrane Craft EVO® 2.5L significantly increases protection against wind and water. But WARNING, this is not a waterproof sleeping bag! The membrane does not have taped seams. However, the water protection is definitely above average, and in our experience, the sleeping bag with the membrane is slightly "warmer" than the same model without it.

The Patizon G Dry 500 is an uncompromising choice for all demanding mountain trips from spring to fall, where you need to keep weight to a minimum even when conditions are uncertain.

Top-quality materials

As we mentioned earlier, the outer fabric of the sleeping bag is made from the Japanese Craft EVO® 2.5L membrane (100% Nylon, PU membrane). Comfort inside is ensured by the soft TORAY™ AIRTASTIC™, naturally treated with an eco-friendly water-repellent finish DWR. The G Dry 500 is filled with 500 grams (Regular size) of goose down with a fill power of 850 cuin and a down-to-feather ratio of 90/10. This down is hypoallergenic, cleaned using biodegradation, and certified according to the standards of RDS and IDFL. The sleeping bag is filled in a 50/50 ratio (top and bottom of the sleeping bag).

Construction and thoughtful details

The Z-shaped chamber construction helps distribute the fill evenly throughout the chambers while preventing cold spots at the seams. Patizon sleeping bags are anatomically shaped to conform to the body’s contours for the most efficient heat retention. However, the shoulders are exceptionally wide, allowing you to turn comfortably inside the bag. The foot chambers are designed to maximize insulation. Patizon has once again paid special attention to the hood. It features a great shape, one-handed adjustment, and a perimeter flap filled with CLO Vivo Endurance synthetic insulation to counteract the moisture we exhale into the hood.

The entire main waterproof zipper is, of course, backed by an insulating flap to prevent the loss of precious heat.  Inside the sleeping bag, you’ll find a spacious zippered pocket measuring 20 x 12 cm, which easily holds a phone, headlamp, batteries, or any small items that need to be kept warm. The biggest feature of Patizon sleeping bags is the semi-automatic, two-way, water-resistant SHZ zipper. It operates in two positions—Stop and Go. In the Stop position (slider down), the zipper is locked in place and won’t open without being secured by a snap or Velcro. In the Go position (slider up), the zipper can be opened simply by pulling it apart. Fast and effective.

Sleeping Bag Dimensions

Sleeping bags come in three lengths. The Short size is suitable for people between 156 and 170 cm tall. For heights from 171 to 185 cm, we recommend the Regular size, and for taller individuals from 186 to 200 cm, the Long version is available.

Thermal Comfort

Patizon specifies three thermal comfort ratings for its sleeping bags (comfort, limit, extreme) measured according to the ISO EN 23537 standard. Specifically, for the G Dry 500 model, the comfort rating is -5 °C, the limit is -10 °C, and the extreme is -28 °C. These values make it a full-fledged, three-season sleeping bag for milder conditions. Of course, these values should be taken with a grain of salt, as there are many factors that influence the resulting comfort (physical condition, choice of a suitable location, air humidity, fatigue, etc.)
