It’s essentially the same hip belt you’re used to from the Kumo backpack.
The Fast Belt may be an interesting option if you own backpacks from the new Type II series—for example, Skala 38 comes standard with a slightly sturdier hip belt, which is made of stiffer mesh and does not allow the pocket to be filled as much as the Fast Belt does. Or, conversely, if you own the Grit, Loris, or Vagabond Jet which don’t come with a waist belt as standard, so adding one can be very useful for trips carrying heavier loads.
The hip belt features comfortable padding and elastic mesh zippered pockets that can hold even a smaller smartphone and plenty of other small items. You simply snap the Fast Belt onto your backpack’s loops using the included buckles.
