The Rab Tour are excellent pants designed primarily for ski touring and mountaineering in milder conditions. I can easily imagine them as all-around pants for Czech winters. I’d take them on both a quick “slope” hike before work and a full-day hike in the Krkonoše Mountains. They’ll serve just as well for winter hiking and light climbing.     

The main material is Rabácký Matrix™ with a DWR finish fluorocarbon-free in two weights. The lower leg sections are reinforced with durable material (54% polyamide, 33% polyester, 13% polyurethane) for better resistance against ski edges and climbing crampons. Their circumference can be expanded using a zipper for easier donning over ski mountaineering boots and secured with a snap. They also feature an elastic inner gaiter to prevent snow from entering the boot.  

The pants feature a partially elastic waistband with a double Velcro closure for adjusting the circumference and a one-way zipper on the fly.

Storage is provided by two sturdy zippered thigh pockets and one smaller pocket on the right thigh. An inner mesh pocket with a safety loop is provided for storing small items. All zippers used are from the YKK brand. 

We recommend the Rab Tour pants exactly for what they were developed for in Rab. Ski touring expeditions, backcountry, and winter hikes. An absolutely ideal piece for Czech or spring Alpine conditions. If we add suitable base layers, we don’t have to worry even about more severe frosts.
