The still relatively young Czech brand Patizon has already made a strong name for itself in the world of down products in recent years. We at Nalehko have been following the development of their sleeping bags from the very beginning. We know the guys personally, and once they perfected their line of sleeping bags, we knew right away that we had to include them in our selection.

R series

This is a brand-new series of Patizon sleeping bags, developed with the utmost consideration for our planet. Up to 97% of the material used comes from recycled sources. Above all, however, this is a series that will appeal to the widest range of users thanks to its affordable price and high quality. Technically, these sleeping bags have everything you’ve come to expect from other series.

Top-quality materials

For its "recycl" series, Patizon uses the top-quality Toray Airtastic material both inside and outside the sleeping bag, featuring a water-repellent DWR finish (C6) with a weight of 38 g/m². This material is made from 100% recycled raw materials. The sleeping bag is filled with 600 grams (Regular size) of recycled down with a fill power of 650 cuin, which is GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified. The sleeping bag is filled in a 50/50 ratio (top and bottom of the sleeping bag).

Construction and thoughtful details

The Z-shaped chamber construction helps distribute the fill evenly throughout the chambers while preventing cold spots at the seams. Patizon sleeping bags are anatomically shaped to conform to the body’s contours for the most efficient heat retention. However, the sleeping bags are exceptionally wide in the shoulders, allowing you to turn comfortably inside them. In the foot area, the chambers are designed to maximize insulation. Patizon has paid special attention to the hood. It features a great shape, one-handed adjustment, and a feather-filled collar that prevents cold spots around the neck. The entire main zipper is, of course, lined with an insulating flap to eliminate the loss of precious heat. Inside the sleeping bag, you’ll find a spacious zippered pocket measuring 20 × 12 cm, which easily holds a phone, headlamp, batteries, or any small items that need to be kept warm. The standout feature of Patizon sleeping bags is the semi-automatic, two-way SHZ zipper, made from recycled nylon. It operates in two positions—Stop and Go. In the Stop position (slider down), the zipper is locked in place and won’t open without being secured by a snap or Velcro. In the Go position (slider up), the zipper can be opened simply by pulling it apart. Fast and effective.

Sleeping bag dimensions

Sleeping bags come in three lengths. The Short size is suitable for people between 156 and 170 cm tall. For heights from 171 to 185 cm, we recommend the Regular size, and for taller individuals from 186 to 200 cm, there is the Long version—which is wider along its entire length (by approx. 5 cm)!

Thermal Comfort

Patizon specifies three thermal comfort ratings for its sleeping bags (comfort, limit, extreme) measured according to the ISO EN 23537 standard. Specifically, for the R 600 model, the comfort rating is -2 °C, the limit rating is -8 °C, and the extreme rating is -26 °C. These values make it a full-fledged, three-season sleeping bag. Of course, these values should be taken with a grain of salt, as there are many factors that influence the actual comfort level (physical condition, choice of a suitable location, humidity, fatigue, etc.). We also offer a "more powerful" series of sleeping bags G400 and G800.

• Semi-automatic SHZ zipper made from recycled nylon with two sliders ending at the ankles has a 3 mm pitch instead of the standard 6 mm, to reduce heat loss and lower overall weight.
• Sophisticated construction of the cover flaps prevents heat loss. 
• Under the entire zipper is na built-in insulating flap filled with down, which effectively eliminates heat loss.
• The mummy shape of the sleeping bag follows the contours of the body, with the lower section tapered precisely so that you can still reach your feet when zipped up.
• One-handed self-locking adjustment of the inner collar and face opening.
• The inner pocket measuring 20 × 12 cm serves as a storage space for items you need to keep close at hand or protect from the cold.
• Loops for hanging the sleeping bag (e.g., for drying or storage).
• Storage bag made of brushed polyester included with the sleeping bag.
• Ultralight compression bag reduces the volume of the sleeping bag by up to 13 times, included with the sleeping bag.
