Down quilts have been gaining popularity in recent years, so we’re pleased that the Czech brand Patizon is introducing its latest product—the ultralight G 350.

As is customary with Patizon, this piece has been perfected down to the smallest detail. The quilt is part of the top-of-the-line sleeping bag series labeled G, which is reflected in the materials used and the quality of workmanship. In the Regular size, it is filled with 350 grams of premium goose down with a fill power of 850 cuin (90/10). The outer fabric is the popular and proven Pertex Quantum with a DWR finish (32 g/m²), made from  100% recycled nylon.

A cut that doesn’t restrict — and warmth that doesn’t escape

The cut is designed with freedom of movement in mind – even the most active kids will enjoy the comfort.  The anatomically shaped, enclosed footbox ensures your feet stay warm.

The quilt attaches to the sleeping pad in a minimalist yet practical way  – the loops on the sides are cleverly offset by one vertical compartment, which increases the stability of the attachment but, more importantly, highlights the insulating collar. This runs along the entire opening and prevents heat loss. The quilt can be tightened around the neck using an elastic cord and fastened with a flat snap.

Two adjustable elastic straps are used to attach the quilt to the sleeping pad; simply secure them to the loops on the quilt. There is also an inner pocket measuring  20 × 12 cm – ideal for items you want to keep close at hand or protect from the cold.

Bottom line — The Patizon G Quilt 350 is an excellent choice for long-distance hikes and sleeping from late spring to early fall.  Just under 600 grams, yet full of comfort!
