The Reactor Lightweight Liner is a new product from Sea to Summit. It is designed to increase thermal comfort, but also serves as protection  your sleeping bag, as the liner traps any sweat and dirt, preventing it from ending up in your sleeping bag. This reduces the frequency with which you need to wash your sleeping bag.

The Reactor Lightweight Liner can also be used as a hygiene liner when transitioning between cabin-to-cabin trips and sleeping under issued blankets.

In summer temperatures and calm conditions, the liner can be used on its own by sleepers wearing long layers of base layers. However, this is a rather last-resort solution, partly because the material is not windproof.

Sea to Summit Reactor Lightweight Liner

With a length of 178 cm, it is designed for people up to 185 cm tall. It has a mummy shape, with a shoulder width of 80 cm and a foot width of 55 cm. When packed, it measures 18 x 10 x 10 cm and weighs a modest 255 g. 

The liner’s pre-shaped armholes are secured with snaps that prevent the liner from shifting, ensuring a comfortable night’s sleep. The hood is ergonomically shaped and adjustable.

Thermolite® Pro Hollow Fiber

It uses hollow fibers similar to standard Thermolite, but with the addition of permanent ceramic pigments that absorb the body’s infrared rays and reflect them back to the wearer. It is made from 100% textile waste and is certified by the Global Recycled Standard.

It offers excellent thermal insulation despite its low weight, while also being highly breathable. Ituses ceramic pigments that absorb infrared radiation. The fabric is stretch and does not restrict movement inside the sleeping bag. When sleeping in just underwear, it feels very comfortable against bare skin. It is treated with HeiQ Fresh technology for odor control, dries quickly, and is machine washable. It can increase thermal comfort by up to approximately 4°C.

All in all, the Sea to Summit Reactor Lightweight Liner is a great backup piece to improve your sleeping comfort or can be used for overnight stays in mountain huts.
