Innovation

The main innovation lies in the use of Daisy chain loops made of Dyneema, which you may be familiar with primarily from climbing, where they are most commonly used as a "sitting loop" or gear organizer. These are loops/straps with "pre-sewn loops." However, these loops are unnecessarily sturdy and heavy for UL purposes. In the SNEKA system, the loops of the strap are mostly created by weaving the loop instead of sewing. This has resulted in a desired weight savings of 30 grams (-18.75%), and at the same time, the loops are incomparably smaller when packed, while the risk of seam damage is eliminated. Just like with its predecessor, the loops do not damage the tree bark, which is a common problem with thin ropes or cords.

The entire system is thus completely knot-free and extremely simple to understand and install.

Installation

To adjust the suspension length, simply clip the carabiner at the end of the hammock into the desired loop on the sling. It couldn’t be any simpler. Thanks to easy tree mounting and fully adjustable length, you can adjust the hammock after hanging it—unlike with standard ropes or straps, where you have to untie knots. You can easily handle the whole process even with frozen hands or after dark. Perfectionists and sticklers for detail will surely be pleased, that SNEKA allows you to literally calculate the suspension length. Simply clip the carabiner into the same loops on both sides of the hammock.
