Versatile insulated jacket Rab Xenair Alpine Insulated Jacket is a heavier "hooded" version of the Rab Xenair Insulated Jacket . This model is designed primarily for adventurers who are more sensitive to the cold but who, in addition to thermal comfort, need a sufficiently breathable piece of gear for their mountaineering activities. Thanks to the use of PrimaLoft® Gold Active+ synthetic insulation in two different weights (100 and 80 g/m²) and its strategic placement, the jacket excels at regulating body temperature when you’re on the move and provides excellent insulation when you’re stationary. This eliminates the constant need to switch layers. As has become customary with Rab in recent years, this model also uses insulation that is 55% made from recycled materials.

Perfect wind resistance is ensured by the proven outer material Pertex®  Quantum Air. In addition to excellent wind resistance, its open-weave structure offers superior breathability, making it the ideal choice for mountain use. In terms of fit and technical construction, the jacket lacks nothing essential. Of course, it features a main two-way YKK zipper, allowing you to easily belay a partner. It also comes with an easily adjustable hood that fits comfortably over a climbing helmet. You can warm your hands in two zippered pockets. One of them can also be used to easily pack the jacket. You’ll also appreciate the single zippered chest pocket, which is perfect for storing items you want to keep close at hand.

The articulated sleeve design enhances range of motion. The cuffs are elastic and highly adjustable when worn with gloves. The bottom hem of the jacket can be easily adjusted using the integrated drawcord. The Rab Xenair Alpine Insulated Jacket is an excellent all-around jacket for active and fast-paced movement in the mountains, or it works great as a mid-layer in true winter conditions.
