Rab has prepared another top-of-the-line piece for this winter from the award-winning series of down jackets Rab Mythic. And once again, this is an absolutely uncompromising companion in terms of the ratio of weight to insulation properties. For example, compared to the previously "most feature-packed" member of the Mythic family—Rab Mythic Ultra, we’ve managed to reduce the total weight by a full 224 grams (size M). This makes it an absolute gem among down jackets, featuring state-of-the-art technologies. Simply a treat for all adventurers who like to travel light in colder conditions.

Insulation and Material

The jacket is filled with premium goose down with a fill power of 1000FP (127 grams in size M), which is certified according to Responsible Down Standard and treated with a water-repellent finish from Nikwax. This ensures that the down retains its loft much longer and does not lose its insulating properties as quickly when wet. The outer fabric is 100% recycled, ultra-lightweight 7D Atmos™ ripstop nylon (23 g/m²) with a fluorocarbon-free DWR finish.

TILT

You may already be familiar with this technology from the aforementioned line of down jackets, or, for example, from the same line of down sleeping bags. Individual fabric fibers are coated with an extremely thin layer of titanium, which helps reflect the user’s radiated heat back to the body, thereby reducing heat loss by up to 30% without compromising the fabric’s breathability or adding a single gram to the jacket’s total weight. Additionally, TILT is distributed across the jacket according to the expected physiological load, allowing for even more aerobically demanding activities. It retains heat where we need it most and ventilates in areas with increased sweating. The Rab Mythic G jacket uses 7D ripstop nylon (23 g/m²). Jacket Construction The ultralight quilted construction reduces weight and bulk while optimizing breathability. The "pre-twisted" sleeve construction allows for the maximum possible range of arm movement. This is quite difficult to describe; you simply have to try the jacket on. The hood is also filled with down insulation, and Rab has traditionally equipped it with an elastic drawcord and a reinforced peak. The cuffs are also finished with elastic drawcords.
