Rab Cinder Downpour

This cycling-specific model is based on Rab’s long-standing best-selling Downpour pants. It is on this very model that the 2.5-layer, highly abrasion-resistant 40D Pertex® Shield fabric, with 20,000 mm / 20,000 g/m² ratings, has been proven by countless generations. The seat and crotch are then reinforced with a more breathable 20D Proflex™ 20,000 mm/25,000 g/m² material with a higher weight for greater comfort while riding. Since 2020, Rab has been a certified climate-neutral company, and given their commitment to becoming 100% climate neutral ("Net Zero") features the traditional DWR water-repellent finish free of fluorocarbons.

The cut of the pants is designed entirely for riding and sitting on a bike, so they fit perfectly when you’re in the cycling position. The raised center back with a non-slip finish keeps the pants in place, and the seat construction with an offset seam protects the bike saddle. The waistband is partially elastic with an internal drawstring to adjust the waist circumference. 3/4 two-way zippers YKK® AquaGuard for easier dressing are covered by a flap. Thanks to the "articulated" cut, the zippers on the pants do not bulge or ride up anywhere. Anyone who has ever ridden a bike with a fly-up zipper knows what I'm talking about.

At the bottom of the legs, at the calf and ankle, there are Velcro straps to adjust the leg circumference, preventing them from getting caught in the chain.  The Rab Cinder Downpour pants are simply a pair of waterproof backup pants with a tailored cut and details designed for cycling use. Just like the entire Rab Cinder collection, they’re perfect for gravel and MTB enthusiasts, bikepacking adventurers, and all occasional and recreational riders, ensuring maximum comfort in the saddle.
