A lightweight, breathable, and packable jacket is an absolute must-have in the wardrobe of any adventure-seeking woman who cares about her gear and its weight.
The Rab Kangri GORE-TEX PACLITE® Plus is a lightweight version of the popular jacket Kangri GORE-TEX®. This jacket is designed as a versatile, sturdy, and durable jacket with a higher weight for a wide range of year-round activities from hiking, long-distance treks and high-altitude hiking with an overlap into mountaineering. By using GORE-TEX PACLITE® Plus (98 g/m² (28,000mm HH, RET: <9)), we managed to reduce the jacket’s weight by approximately 144 grams per size and also significantly improve packability while maintaining the same breathability and water column ratings.
As is typical for this British brand custom, this time it is also made from recycled material. The denier of this fabric in Rabu has been reduced from a sturdy 70D to 40D, which naturally makes the jacket slightly less durable while shifting its functionality more toward ultralight. However, it remains a sufficiently durable piece suitable for a wide range of activities, not just mountain adventures. The hood is fully adjustable and reliably prevents water from penetrating into other layers, even in heavy downpours. A reinforced visor protects your eyes.
The central zipper is a two-way YKK® VISLON® zipper for use with a climbing harness or for ventilation, and it features a chin guard. Two zippered pockets with YKK® AquaGuard® zippers are also positioned so they do not interfere with the use of a harness or a fastened backpack waist belt. Two ventilation openings in the sleeves that also serve as access to the inner layers are also equipped with YKK® AquaGuard® zippers.
The sleeves are "anatomically articulated" and this cut works great. When you need to raise your arms, the jacket stays in place. You can easily adjust the sleeve cuff circumference using Velcro to ensure a perfect fit when wearing gloves.
The Rab Kangri GORE-TEX PACLITE® Plus, just like its predecessor the Rab Kangri Gore-Tex, serves perfectly as a versatile year-round jacket for all kinds of adventures, not just in the mountains.
