The Etalon Mitts are another ultralight item from our Nalehko collection.

We were primarily motivated to create our own collection by the lack of certain ultralight products on our market, or our dissatisfaction with their workmanship. Often, we felt something was missing, or conversely, there was too much of something. Or they were too heavy.

When designing Nalehko products, we apply all of our years of experience with gear for long treks.

Their development is backed by tens of thousands of kilometers covered on trails around the world and countless nights spent outdoors.

Nalehko Etalon Mitts - simplicity is power

Just like the highly successful waterproof jacket Nalehko Etalon, and the waterproof pants Nalehko Etalon Pants, the Nalehko Etalon Mitts are a model of what we believe lightweight, durable, and perfectly crafted slip-on gloves should look like.

In most cases, you can get through a summer rain without your fingers getting numb, but when the real, damp weather sets in and the temperature starts to approach zero, frozen and soaked hands become a major problem that significantly reduces your sense of comfort.

We primarily designed them as overgloves to wear over insulated gloves such as the Rab Power Stretch Pro Glove and similar models. On their own, they don’t provide much warmth. Their main purpose is to keep your hands dry. Etalon Mitts feature a perfectly fitting anatomical “thumb” cut designed specifically for an inner glove, offering plenty of room for it. At the same time, however, there’s nothing stopping you from wearing them directly against your skin in warmer conditions.

An elastic band is sewn into the wrist, allowing the mitts to conform beautifully to the wrist circumference. The elastic has a stretch of up to 4 cm without constricting the hand or causing the mitts to slip down. Etalon Mitts fit both "over the sleeve" and "inside the sleeve."

Top-quality material

As with the entire Nalehko collection, we strive to use only the best possible materials. In this case, it is once again the three-layer Pertex Shield. It achieves a water column of 20,000 mm, which offers excellent protection against rain.

Hand in hand with waterproofing goes the material’s breathability – 20,000+ g/m²/24 h is the value stated by Pertex. However, we have subjected the material to extensive long-term testing, especially during more demanding physical activities such as running, and it feels significantly more breathable to us. We therefore had the material tested at the Technical University of Liberec and measured a significantly better RET value! 

The Etalon Mitts, a lightweight pair of gloves, are entirely designed by Nalehko and manufactured in the Czech Republic. 

They perfectly complement our Etalon waterproof set—jacket, pants/skirt.

• Weight: 27 ± 1 g (size M) and 30 ± 1 g (size L).
• 3-layer membrane – Pertex Shield.
• Combination of 15D and 40D polyamide fibers – 75 g/m².
