The still relatively young Czech brand Patizon has already made a strong name for itself in the world of down products in recent years. We at Nalehko have been following the development of their sleeping bags from the very beginning. We know the guys personally, and once they perfected their line of sleeping bags, we knew right away that we had to include them in our selection.  

Dpro series

Crucially, Patizon uses only the best materials for its sleeping bags. The Dpro series stands out in virtually every respect—great comfort, low weight, and excellent packability.  

Top-quality materials

The best down sleeping bag manufacturers exclusively use Pertex as their outer material, and Patizon is no exception. Specifically, we use 100% recycled Pertex™ Quantum™ with a weight of 32 g/m², naturally treated with an eco-friendly DWR water-repellent finish. The sleeping bag is filled with 290 grams (Regular size) of duck down with a fill power of 700+ cuin and a down-to-feather ratio of 90/10. This down is hypoallergenic, cleaned using biodegradation, and certified according to the standards of RDS and  IDFL. The sleeping bag is filled in a 50/50 ratio (top and bottom of the sleeping bag).  

Construction and thoughtful details

The Z-shaped chamber construction helps distribute the fill evenly throughout the chambers while preventing cold spots at the seams. Patizon sleeping bags are anatomically shaped to conform to the body’s contours for the most efficient heat retention. However, the shoulders are exceptionally wide, allowing you to turn comfortably inside the bag. In the foot area, the chambers are designed to maximize insulation. Patizon has once again paid special attention to the hood. It features a great shape, one-handed adjustment, and a perimeter flap filled with Climashield synthetic insulation to address the issue of moisture from exhaled breath entering the hood. The entire main zipper is, of course, backed by an insulating flap to eliminate the loss of precious heat. Inside the sleeping bag, you’ll find a spacious zippered pocket measuring 20 x 20 cm, which easily holds a phone, headlamp, batteries, or any small items that need to be kept warm. The biggest feature of Patizon sleeping bags is the semi-automatic, two-way YKK zipper. It operates in two positions—Stop and Go. In the Stop position (slider facing down), the zipper is locked in place and will not open without being secured by a snap or Velcro. In the Go position (slider up), the zipper can be opened simply by pulling it apart. Fast and effective.  

Sleeping Bag Dimensions

Sleeping bags are available in three lengths. The Short size is suitable for people between 156 and 170 cm tall. For heights from 171 to 185 cm, we recommend the Regular size, and for taller individuals from 186 to 200 cm, there is the Long version.  

Thermal comfort

Patizon specifies three thermal comfort ratings for its sleeping bags (comfort, limit, extreme) measured according to the ISO EN 23537 standard. Specifically, for the Dpro 290 model, the comfort rating is 3 °C, the limit rating is -2 °C, and the extreme rating is -18 °C. These values make it a full-fledged, three-season sleeping bag for milder conditions. Of course, these values should be taken with a grain of salt, as there are many factors that influence the actual level of comfort (physical condition, choice of a suitable location, humidity, fatigue, etc.)  Updated version for 2024: Patizon D 290 We also offer a "more powerful" series of sleeping bags: G400 and G800. We also offer a warmer version of the Dpro 590.

• Sophisticated construction of the cover flaps prevents heat loss. 
• An insulating flapfilled with down runs along the entire length of the zipper, effectively eliminating heat loss.
• The mummy shape of the sleeping bag follows the contours of the body, with the lower section tapered precisely so that you can still reach your feet when zipped up.
• One-handed self-locking adjustment of the inner collar and face opening.
• The inner pocket measuring 20 x 20 cm serves as a storage space for items you need to keep close at hand or protect from the cold.
• Storage bag made of brushed polyester included with the sleeping bag.
• Ultra-light compression bag made of Pertex™ Quantum™ material with DWR treatment reduces the volume of the sleeping bag by up to 13 times, supplied with the sleeping bag.
