The Gossamer Gear Vetta 20 is a minimalist ultralight backpack designed for anyone who wants to travel light without unnecessary compromises. The ideal choice for day hikes, fastpacking, trail running, or as a lightweight travel backpack.

With a 20-liter capacity, it offers plenty of space for essentials, while the thoughtful design ensures maximum comfort even during extended use. The typical Gossamer Gear philosophy is reflected here in the emphasis on low weight, simplicity, and functionality.

Features that will surprise you

This is a great daypack that has much more to offer. All the popular features from larger backpacks can also be found on the Vetta model. For example, the popular roll-top system. In keeping with Gossamer Gear tradition, this “20-liter” backpack has an easily removable back panel that can be used as a seat pad.

Comfortable wide straps with stretch pockets in the style of running vests are a given. As is the large mesh pocket on the front. Above it is the essential zippered pocket. There are also two smaller side pockets, loops for attaching the Fast Belt hip belt, and space + routing for a hydration bladder.

All this comes in a very appealing weight of 411 g.

Material

At Gossamer Gear, they stick to the proven 100D Riptide Ripstop recycled Robic Nylon. Lightweight, durable, and coated with polyurethane for better water resistance. The bottom of the backpack is made of more durable 210D nylon. All mesh is made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). The base is reinforced with these highly durable fibers, making the material tear-resistant and highly abrasion-resistant.
