The Rab Latok Gore-Tex Paclite Plus is another gem from the ultralight wizards at the iconic British brand Rab. It is the successor to the Rab Zenith, a model that was very well received by our customers. This time, they’ve once again opted for the highly packable and sufficiently durable 2.5-layer 13D GORE-TEX PACLITE® Plus with excellent performance metrics (64g/m² (28,000mm HH, RET: <9)).
Rab Latok Gore-Tex Paclite Plus
As is customary with Rab, this model is also made from recycled material. It is a typical, lightweight "backup" for your backpack, which comes into play when the weather turns bad, but at the same time can withstand rougher handling during climbing. The jacket’s entire cut is also adapted for movement in the mountains. The sleeves are anatomically pre-shaped and, even with maximum "reach," they stretch along with the arm, and the jacket does not ride up out of the harness. Just like its predecessor, the sleeves feature extended cuffs to protect the joints and provide more comfortable use with gloves. As with any proper mountaineering jacket, it features a helmet-compatible hood, in this case with a two-way adjustment that you can easily operate with one gloved hand and an elastic brim.
Of course, there is also zippered ventilation under the arms, a two-way central zipper, and one easily accessible and sufficiently spacious zippered chest pocket. All zippers on the jacket are YKK® AquaGuard. The Rab Latok Gore-Tex Paclite Plus jacket is primarily designed for mountaineers and climbers, but it will serve any enthusiastic ultralight adventurer who appreciates its durability relative to weight.
